Accessibility
Accessibility statement based on § 14 and Annex 3 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)
Last updated: October 2026
Scope
This statement applies to the website nextgate.digital of NextGate Digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Im Winkel 8, 50189 Elsdorf, Germany.
Our own products (e.g. NextGate Digital Invoice, Passportlab, KFZDesk, Autovertrag) run on their own domains or subdomains and each has its own accessibility information.
Description of the service
The website provides information about our services in compliance software, custom software development, UI/UX design and maintenance, and about our own products. You can send us enquiries through the contact form or by email.
Using the website
The main navigation is at the top of every page. On narrow screens the “Menu” button opens the navigation and the Escape key closes it again. The “Skip to content” link appears when you first press the Tab key and takes you straight to the content.
All functions can be operated entirely by keyboard. On your first visit a cookie settings dialog appears; it receives focus automatically and can be closed with the Escape key, leaving only strictly necessary cookies active. You can change the settings at any time with the “Cookie settings” button.
The website is available in English and German. The “DE” or “EN” link in the header switches to the same page in the other language. The language of each page is marked up in the source code so that screen readers pronounce it correctly.
How the accessibility requirements are met
Based on our self-assessment, this website meets the requirements of the standard EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.2 level AA). In particular:
Sufficient colour contrast for text (at least 4.5:1) and for controls and form fields (at least 3:1); a clearly visible keyboard focus on all interactive elements; a logical heading and landmark structure; clearly labelled form fields with autocomplete; status messages that are announced by assistive technologies; target sizes of at least 24 × 24 pixels.
The content adapts to screen widths from 320 pixels and to zoom levels of up to 400 % without horizontal scrolling. All font sizes follow the font size set in your browser. Animations are reduced if your operating system requests it. We do not use CAPTCHAs.
Non-accessible content
We are currently not aware of any content that does not meet the requirements.
Third-party content: no third-party content or widgets are embedded, no maps, videos, calendar, chat or booking widgets, and no CAPTCHAs. Fonts are served from our own server. Matomo web analytics is only loaded with your consent and has no visible interface.
External links: links to other websites, such as our products on their own domains, lead to services outside the scope of this statement. Their accessibility is described on the respective website.
If you do encounter a barrier, please let us know. We fix reported barriers as quickly as possible.
Preparation of this statement
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 2 October 2026. All pages were checked with automated tests (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A/AA) and manually for keyboard operation, focus order, colour contrast, text spacing and display at a screen width of 320 pixels. We review the statement whenever the website changes significantly, and at least once a year.
Feedback and contact
If you notice barriers or need content in a different format, write to us at [email protected] or call +49 2271 5011167. We reply within one working day.
